Jafar Panahi is a virtuoso Iranian director who has received multiple awards at international festivals. To wit, this former assistant of Abbas Kiarostami began with The White Balloon, which won the Camera d'Or at Cannes in 1995. Then followed The Circle, which won the Golden Lion at the Venice Film Festival in 2000, Offside, which won the Silver Bear at the Berlinale in 2006, and finally Taxi, the winner of Berlin's Golden Bear in 2015. In addition to the complete retrospective of his films, the Centre Pompidou is presenting another aspect of Jafar Panahi's talent with an exhibition entitled « Clouds« , a series of 26 unpublished photographs that feature a movement from light to darkness.
