The Brücke-Museum, with David Bowie and Iggy Pop in mind

As the only museum in the world dedicated to the Brücke movement, it houses unique collections.

A hall of fame or the Expressionist movement, the Brücke-Museum is located only five minutes away by foot from the Pücklerstraße bus station. Bordering on Grünewald forest, this museum offers major art by key expressionist artists of the Die Brücke movement, bold colours exploding all along clear-looking rooms. Among the most famous pieces, you'll find Erich Heckel's Roquairol (1917), inspiration source for Iggy Pop's 1977 The Idiot, coproduced and co-written by David Bowie, as well as Bowie's own Heroes (also from 1977).
