The ‘Bourgeois Gentilhomme' performed by the Scottish Chamber Orchestra

At Queen's Hall, the Scottish Chamber Orchestra opens a new season by putting a famous play by Molière to music.

The Queen's Hall, an iconic venue in Edinburgh that plays host to the renowned Edinburgh Jazz & Blues Festival, is also home to the Scottish Chamber Orchestra, a world famous classical music orchestra. A unique presentation of the Bourgeois Gentilhomme reveals the superb conducting skills of the brilliant Robin Ticciati. Along with Mozart's The Marriage of Figaro, the Scottish Chamber Orchestra performs an interpretation of a work by Richard Strauss inspired by Molière's play. The evening closes with a new piano concerto by Martin Suckling, written especially for the orchestra.
