Kani Doraku: where crab is honoured

Discover crab, ‘kani' in Japanese, at one of the best known addresses in Japan.

In the heart of the Dōtonbori district, Kani Doraku restaurant invites you to discover the house speciality: crab. This restaurant, present in many other cities, is easily spotted thanks to its iconic giant crab storefront. Decorated in a traditional Japanese style, Kani Doraku invites you to remove your shoes upon arrival and place them in a small wooden box. Installed in front of traditional low Japanese tables, you will be offered a multitude of menus centred around crab, among which is Kani Doraku's forte: snow crab, served with fresh vegetables that you grill yourself. You can also opt for the Sazanka, Kinmokusei or Tsuwabuki menus to taste crab in all its forms, whether grilled, in fritters, in tempura, or as sushi.
