Before it became the famous Pastisseria Escribà de la Rambla, the establishment bore the name of Casa Figueras. Behind an emerald mosaic façade shining bright, a multitude of sweets are waiting for you to taste, devour and even stuff them down. You'll gladly push the finely crafted iron gates, ornamented with orange and red stained-glass windows, and feel happiness is just within your grasp.
Waiting to be served, you can observe caster sugar being poured on ensaïmadas, a cremadet's dough crackling out of the oven and some sugar candy rings shining yellow, red and blue colours. Take a seat on the terrace and breakfast will be served on a plate. If you want a gift, why not the flowerpot filled with mini pastries, or even chocolate stilettoes for your better half?
