Consult your baggage file
Was your baggage late, damaged or lost? Air France will do everything possible to resolve your baggage problem, and we apologize for the inconvenience.
Transport in the hold can cause scratches, marks and other minor damage to your baggage for which we cannot be held responsible.
Your baggage has been damaged
If you are still at the airport
Please proceed to your arrival airport´s Air France Baggage Service to inform us of the incident.
A Property Irregularity Report (PIR) will be established. You will then be given an associated file number. Please keep this to track your request.

If you have left the airport
In the 7 days following the receipt of your baggage, you can mail a compensation request to
Customer Service in your country of residence
You must include the following original documents with your request:
- Your boarding pass or Trip Summary,
- Your baggage tag(s),
- Receipts for any expenses incurred.
An item is missing from your baggage
If you are still at the airport
If you discover that an item is missing from your baggage and you are still at the airport, please proceed to the airport´s Air France Baggage Service to inform us of the incident. A Property Irregularity Report (PIR) will be established. You will then be given an associated file number. Please keep this to track your request.
If you have left the airport
In the 7 days following the receipt of your baggage, you can mail a compensation request to
Customer Service in your country of residence
Beyond 7 days, we cannot process your request.
